End the day at Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s most famous market. Walk through its bustling alleyways filled with spices, jewelry, handmade crafts, antiques, and traditional cafés. It’s the perfect place to experience local culture and buy unique souvenirs.

Begin your exploration at the Vallei der Koningen, the burial ground of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs. Hidden deep within desert cliffs, the tombs were carved to protect royal mummies and treasures. Inside, you’ll see vividly preserved wall paintings illustrating ancient beliefs about the afterlife, the journey of the soul, and the gods who guided it. The valley famously includes the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
Tempel van Koningin Hatshepsut
Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most striking architectural masterpieces. Built into towering limestone cliffs, this terraced temple was dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most powerful female rulers in ancient history. Its elegant colonnades and reliefs depict scenes of trade expeditions, religious rituals, and royal achievements.
Colossi van Memnon
Stop at the Colossi van Memnon, two massive seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These statues once guarded the entrance to a vast mortuary temple and have stood watch over the Theban plain for more than 3,400 years.

Continue sailing to Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely designed as a double temple honoring two gods. One side is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god associated with fertility and the Nile, while the other honors Haroeris, a form of Horus.
