Arrive in Cairo, a city that has served as the heart of Egypt for centuries. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be welcomed by your representative, who will assist you with arrival formalities and luggage procedures.

After meeting your representative, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo. During the drive, you will receive a brief orientation about the city and what to expect in the coming days.

Check in at your Cairo hotel and take time to rest and refresh after your journey. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation.

Giza-piramides:

Inside the Citadel, visit the elegant Mohamed Ali Moskee, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Its Ottoman-style domes, chandeliers, and spacious prayer hall create a serene atmosphere, and its courtyard offers stunning city views.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

End the day at Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s most famous market. Walk through its bustling alleyways filled with spices, jewelry, handmade crafts, antiques, and traditional cafés. It’s the perfect place to experience local culture and buy unique souvenirs.

Return to your hotel afterward.

Begin your exploration at the Vallei der Koningen, the burial ground of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs. Hidden deep within desert cliffs, the tombs were carved to protect royal mummies and treasures. Inside, you’ll see vividly preserved wall paintings illustrating ancient beliefs about the afterlife, the journey of the soul, and the gods who guided it. The valley famously includes the tomb of King Tutankhamun.

Tempel van Koningin Hatshepsut

Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most striking architectural masterpieces. Built into towering limestone cliffs, this terraced temple was dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most powerful female rulers in ancient history. Its elegant colonnades and reliefs depict scenes of trade expeditions, religious rituals, and royal achievements.

Colossi van Memnon

Stop at the Colossi van Memnon, two massive seated statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These statues once guarded the entrance to a vast mortuary temple and have stood watch over the Theban plain for more than 3,400 years.

After completing your West Bank visits, return to your Nile cruise for lunch. The afternoon is free for relaxation on board, followed by dinner and overnight as the cruise remains docked in Luxor.

Dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of protection and kingship, the temple’s towering pylons and richly carved walls depict myths, religious rituals, and the eternal struggle between Horus and Seth. Its exceptional preservation offers a vivid glimpse into ancient temple life.

Tempel van Kom Ombo

Continue sailing to Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely designed as a double temple honoring two gods. One side is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god associated with fertility and the Nile, while the other honors Haroeris, a form of Horus. The temple’s symmetrical layout and detailed reliefs related to medicine and healing make it especially distinctive.

Return to the cruise and enjoy dinner on board as the ship sails onward toward Aswan, arriving later in the evening.

Onvoltooide Obelisk

Explore the Onvoltooide Obelisk, still lying in the granite quarry where it was abandoned due to a crack. This site offers rare insight into how ancient Egyptians carved and transported massive obelisks.

Very early in the morning, depart from Aswan for a desert drive to Abu Simbel Tempels, located near the Sudanese border.

Abu Simbel Tempels
